The scaling mindset
You are still the system. That's the plateau.
Read articleSenior financial leadership sized to the stage your business is in, with a clear path from first call into a working partnership. The early read on the books happens fast, and the engagement keeps adjusting as the business does.
A clear process designed for speed and results.
A short, free conversation. One of us picks up, you describe the business and what is currently in front of you, and we talk through whether a fractional CFO seat would actually move the needle. No pitch, no sales pressure. If the fit is wrong, we say so directly.
Both of us read the books, the current reporting, and the cash position together. You walk away with a candid summary of where the financials are working, where the seams are, and the two or three priorities that should move first. Hidden margin tends to surface during this read.
From the assessment we propose an engagement shape that matches the work in front of you. A lighter monthly partnership, a deeper weekly cadence, or a defined project for one clear question. You approve the scope before any ongoing work starts.
We become part of how financial decisions get made. We sit inside the monthly leadership review, answer the question that lands between meetings, and stay accountable for the financial result the business posts each quarter. Tax, cash, and reporting move forward together inside the services embedded in your operations.
Embedded means we are present where the financial decisions actually happen. In the leadership review when capex comes up, on the call when a customer payment slips, looking ahead with you instead of reporting on what already happened. Meet the partners behind the numbers and the work each of us leads.
Senior financial leadership without the headcount of a full-time hire. The model flexes with the business, scales up when the calendar gets heavy, scales back when the work settles, and keeps the same partner team on every read. See our engagement levels and how each one fits.
Month after month, the engagement runs on a real working rhythm. Reviews land on the calendar, the dashboard reflects what happened in the operating month, and the questions that come up between meetings get answered the same week. Tax, cash, and reporting stay on the same page because the same partners read all three.
| KPI | Target | Actual | Δ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue | $210K | $224K | +6.7% |
| Margin | 32% | 34.2% | +2.2pp |
| Cash flow | $28K | $31K | +10.7% |
| AR days | 30 | 38 | +8d |
| Utilization | 80% | 72% | -8pp |
Hiring us is not hiring a consultant who delivers a deck and disappears. Both partners read every engagement at intake, and the partner whose strengths fit the work leads it. The cadence and the working rhythm are clear from the first week.

The first weeks are about getting current. We pull access to the books, the operating systems, and the current reporting, sit with the team to learn how things actually run, and set the meeting cadence before the first review. The first working session lands inside the first month, with real numbers and a short list of priorities tied to your business. If something is already on the calendar that cannot wait, we structure the early scope around it.
Owner first, then whoever else needs to be in the conversation. That tends to be the bookkeeper for the monthly close, the filing CPA on tax timing and entity questions, and any operations or sales leader whose decisions touch the financial picture. We connect the work across the team rather than duplicate it, so the bookkeeper and the CPA keep doing what they do best.
Probably yes. Industry experience between us spans construction, nonprofit, manufacturing, and a long roster beyond that, and we adapt the engagement to your business once we have read it. The discovery call and the written assessment give us full context before we recommend a single thing, so the work fits where you actually are rather than a generic playbook.
Yes. After the first quarter, sit-downs to right-size the engagement become routine. If the work has gotten heavier, we lift the cadence; if a stretch settles, we pull back. The shape changes as the business does, without a fight over the contract.
